Built more than a hundred years ago, the former “Casa da Ladeira”, was the dwelling for one of the families who owned the Vimieiro Watermills, which originated this place along the Alva River. Embedded in the rock, which forms part of its internal walls, the accommodation unit “O Medronheiro” (“The Strawberry Tree”) is distinctly and sunny located on the Vimieiro riverside beach. Privileging the use of local materials, mainly stone, wood and glass, this accommodation unit has, on the upper floor, 2 beds (one double and one bunk), a living room with heating stove and a toilet, and on the lower floor a Kitchenette within a large living room with a fireplace. On the outside it has two superb terraces that act as true viewpoints on one of the most genuine stretches of the Alva River: the Vimieiro riverside beach.
